Put all the ingredients, except the walnuts, together in a deep bowl. Knead until you get a soft dough.
Take walnut-sized pieces from the dough you kneaded, take it in your hand and roll it up. Place them evenly on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. Place half a walnut on each ball of dough. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 17-18 minutes.
Serve the cookies when they have cooled.
